ODOR PAYS; Intro to Imprinting Target Odor for Scent Detection
This beginner level workshop is for you whether you are training for fun and enrichment purposes or to successfully begin training in the sport of Scent Detection.
Included in this workshop is 60 minutes in person training at the Callander Canine Centre to set you up for success, Your first Scent Odor Vessel and 12 weeks of access to the on-line classroom
During the in-person session, you will get your first scent vessel to take home and we will begin Imprinting your dog directly onto the scent of Wintergreen essential oil used in Scent Detection organizations. We will also begin playing some of the many training games to set your dog up for success. By the end of the session your dog will be able to distinguish which containers are the hot containers (ones with scent) and which ones are cold (empty).
The on-line lessons portion consist of written material as well as instructional videos on;

Marking the behavior, feeding at source and proper training mechanics

Preparing, organizing and proper storage of your odor

The importance of your scent vessels.
